Dear Valued Clients,

We are writing to share a significant milestone in the growth of HYEHOST, along with important details regarding a scheduled maintenance window required to facilitate this expansion.

To support our expanding client base and open new options for our business, we are expanding our footprint by moving our primary compute workloads to a new, high-capacity facility in Wolverhampton—proudly located in the heart of the Black Country.

The Expansion Plan

We are transitioning from our current infrastructure to a dedicated full-rack deployment with diverse A+B power feeds. This expansion provides the resilience and capacity we need to grow our compute offerings significantly. The new facility operates on an N+N basis, featuring dual on-site generators and dual UPS systems.

We are not leaving Telford. We are evolving our strategy to utilize two distinct locations. Telford will remain a vital Network POP, maintaining direct local connectivity for clients, while Wolverhampton becomes our high-power compute hub.

Maintenance Window & Timeline

To facilitate this physical move, we have provisionally scheduled a maintenance window for Friday, 9th January 2026.

Please note: The Wolverhampton side is confirmed. We are currently awaiting final sign-off from the Telford facility, but barring any pushback, the schedule is as follows:

Start Time: 09:00 AM GMT Expected Duration: Up to 6 Hours

The Logistics: I (Aaran) will personally be on-site at Telford at 9:00 AM to oversee the process.

  1. 09:00 - 10:30: Safe de-racking and loading of hardware.

  2. 10:30 - 11:30: Transit to the new Wolverhampton facility.

  3. 11:30 - 13:30: Re-racking, powering up, and bringing the core network online.

We have planned for a 6-hour total outage window to account for any traffic or unforeseen delays, though we are optimistic that services will be restored sooner (aiming for 3-4 hours).

Why the Downtime?

We understand that downtime is never ideal, and we do not take this decision lightly. However, this physical move is necessary to ensure we can continue to offer a premium service with better power resilience and expansion capabilities, all while keeping our pricing competitive for you.

Once this move is complete, we will be running diverse uplinks with 2 core switches into 2 core routers, utilizing VyOS on hardware to ensure maximum stability.
