Hi everyone,
As mentioned in our previous update, we had to pause our expansion move due to the bad weather—we didn't want to risk transporting hardware in unsafe conditions.
We have now rescheduled everything for this coming Monday, January 12th.
The Plan for Monday To keep things running smoothly, I’ll be on-site at Telford personally to oversee the move. We are allowing for a 6-hour window to be safe, though we’re aiming to be back online faster (hopefully within 3-4 hours).
Here is the timeline:
10:00 – 12:00: Safe de-racking and loading of hardware.
12:00 – 13:00: Transit to the new Wolverhampton facility.
13:00 – 16:00: Re-racking, powering up, and bringing the network back online.
Why we’re doing this We know downtime is a pain, and we don’t take it lightly. We are doing this to get your services into our new Wolverhampton facility, which is built for high availability (dual power feeds, backup generators, and better cooling).
Once we’re live on Monday afternoon, we’ll be running a much stronger setup:
Better Resilience: A+B Power feeds and N+N Generators.
Better Hardware: Running diverse uplinks with VyOS on hardware for maximum stability.
Same Local Connection: We are keeping Telford as our Network POP, so you get the best of both locations.
Thanks for bearing with us on the weather delay—we wanted to make sure your data and hardware stayed safe and dry.
We’ll send a final shout once the systems are back online on Monday.
Best regards,
Aaran Perry
