If your BGP session is stuck in an Active or Idle state, follow these steps:

  • Check Reachability: Ensure you can ping our peering IP from your server.
  • Verify Peer IP & ASN: Double-check that your configured Peer IP and Remote AS match the details provided in your ticket.
  • Multihop: If your session is not directly connected, ensure ebgp-multihop is set to at least 2.
  • Firewall: Ensure TCP port 179 is open on your firewall for incoming and outgoing BGP traffic.
