Understanding CloudLinux Isolated Resources (CPU, RAM, EP) Print

  • 0

To ensure fairness, stability, and high performance, our shared hosting utilizes CloudLinux OS. This securely isolates your account from others on the server and guarantees your dedicated resources.

You can view your resource usage on the right-hand sidebar of your cPanel dashboard. Here is what they mean:

  • CPU Usage: The amount of processor power your website is actively using. If this hits 100%, your site may slow down temporarily until the task finishes.
  • Physical Memory (RAM): The amount of memory your PHP scripts are consuming.
  • Entry Processes (EP): The number of concurrent PHP scripts running at the exact same millisecond. This is not the number of visitors you can have.
  • I/O Usage: The speed at which your account can read/write data to our SSD drives.

If you consistently hit your resource limits, your site has grown and it might be time to upgrade your package or optimize your website code.
