Your reseller account comes with Overselling Enabled. This is a powerful feature that allows you to maximize your profits.
What is Overselling?
Overselling means you can assign more disk space and bandwidth to your clients' cPanel packages than your reseller account actually has in total. This works because most clients never use their full allocated limits.
How it Works:
- Example: You have a 50GB Reseller Plan. You create 10 clients and assign them each a 10GB package (100GB total allocated).
- Because Overselling is enabled, WHM allows you to do this.
- The Catch: The actual, physical usage of all 10 clients combined must remain below your reseller plan's hard limit of 50GB. If the combined disk usage hits 50GB, you will not be able to create new accounts, and your existing accounts may experience issues until you upgrade your reseller package or your clients delete files.
You can monitor your total physical disk and bandwidth usage in WHM under Account Information > List Accounts.
