How to Suspend, Unsuspend, or Terminate a Client Account Print

Managing your clients requires the ability to suspend services for non-payment or terminate accounts when they cancel.

Suspending/Unsuspending:

  1. Log into WHM.
  2. Search for Manage Account Suspension in the left menu.
  3. Select the domain or username from the list.
  4. (Optional) Enter a reason for suspension (e.g., Overdue Invoice).
  5. Click the Suspend or Unsuspend button.

A suspended account is taken offline immediately, but their data is preserved securely on the server.

Terminating an Account:

Warning: Terminating an account permanently deletes the entire cPanel account, all its files, emails, and databases. This action cannot be undone.

  1. Log into WHM.
  2. Search for Terminate Accounts.
  3. Find the account in the list.
  4. Click the red Remove button.
  5. Confirm the deletion.
